Davaar joined us from Grizzly Valley Kennels in March 2015, as a 3 month old pup.
He travelled home with me from Whitehorse, and proved to be a wonderful companion and took to life on the road with ease.
Due to the events of 2015, he never had the opportunity to run during his first winter with us, but we intend to remedy that and I am looking forward to seeing if he fulfills his promise.
His mother is a full Chukchi dog, and Davaar offers us Seppala lovers genetic diversity as well as bringing the circle all the way round, given the history of importing native Chukchi dogs into Alaska during the Gold Rush era. Those dogs were the foundation of what went on to become the registered breed known as the Siberian Husky.
Davaar proved himself to be a fine sled during his first season and is a hard worker with a no nonsense attitude.
